We talked today for the first time in awhile, after life carried us in different directions.  You sounded the same, the way you pronounced my name and it made me smile.  We fell into our familiar ways and for a moment in time, I thought we were back in high school.  Talking on the phone till three in the morning and skipping the next day to cuddle under the cover all day.  For a moment in time, I was the kid that you pulled closed and kissed goodnight after our third date.  You took me to my first football game and gave me your jacket because it was cold.  You were my whole life for a moment in time and it was bitter sweet to be reminded of what we had.  I don’t know where life will take us or if our paths will ever cross again.  But as I sit here, I cannot help but smile for all of the memories you gave me.
